It has been a while since I’ve had my first Europa league goal, but I was fortunate enough to score a late goal against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
The ball was dropped to my right and my teammates ran in behind to get the ball to me, but when I turned it in I couldn’t believe my eyes.
The feeling was incredible, as I had only played five minutes in the Champions League before I scored my first goal for the national team.
I felt very excited to finally have my first international goal.
As the game ended I realised I had scored against the German team, as they had given me the ball in their own half in the first half and were on top of us.
I was also lucky to score with a left footer in front of the net.
The reaction from the crowd was absolutely amazing, and I’ve been talking to some of them about how I felt and that I did feel like a superstar in this moment.
It was a wonderful moment.
