We all know that creative directors are often the ones with the most creative jobs and are the ones who are the most successful.
But it’s also true that creative director salaries vary greatly from one department to another, and there’s no right answer.
And even if you’re the only person working in your company, it’s probably a good idea to hire a creative director with some creative experience to help you out.
The salary gap Between creative director and creative employee salaries: According to a study from the Institute for Creative Technologies (ICT), a research group at the University of Maryland, the median creative director salary in the U.S. is $60,988.
That’s up $3,000 from last year, and it’s up 7.5% from last quarter.
That translates to $17.75 per hour, or $42,000 a year.
And that’s with the majority of creatives earning $40,000 or less, according to the ICT.
But there are some perks that come with being a creative consultant.
If you’re a creative executive, you’ll earn $100,000 more than your executive partner.
And if you’ve been a creative manager for years, you can get paid twice as much.
And you can be a creative designer for years if you have a lot of experience in design and development.
But if you don’t have a design or development background, you won’t get a whole lot of creative experience.
What makes creative director pay more than creative employee?
The study shows that the biggest factors for creative director wages vary by department.
And while the research shows that creatives can earn as much as creative workers in any department, the creative director’s base pay tends to be higher.
For example, creative directors in marketing and sales make about $120,000.
But that’s up a whopping $2,400 from last June.
And creative directors at the top end of the pay scale can make up to $300,000 in annual salaries.
It’s worth noting that these figures aren’t based on how much people earn, but rather the amount of work they do.
For instance, a creative analyst who helps clients understand their strategy or a designer who helps companies create custom logos can be making more than the typical creative director.
And they’re also much more likely to be in creative management positions, where they get to work with people who aren’t directly involved with the design of the product or brand.
So while creative director income varies by department, there’s a big pay gap between the two.
